His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State and PDP Presidential aspirant, met with leaders and delegates of the PDP in Bayelsa State on Wednesday 27th April 2022. Mr. Peter Obi was received by the Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Duoye Diri, the Deputy Governor, Bayelsa State, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Senator representing Bayelsa Central in the Nigerian Senate, Sen. Moses Cleopas, the party chairman of the state, Solomon Agwuana, top government functionaries and delegates of the Party.
While receiving Mr. Peter Obi, Gov. Diri noted that Peter Obi is “the best candidate and indeed you cannot doubt it that Peter Obi has proved his worth. As a Governor who did 8 years and handed over about 75billion naira to his successor. I have met him in several occasions, very humble and simple, sir, we are not surprised that you are in this race… we have made it very clear as Southern Governors that our brothers in the North should at this moment allow very prepared people like you to come into the saddle of leadership, Nigeria needs those who will rescue this country, our country is going down.”
Mr. Peter Obi thereafter met personally with delegates at the Party Secretariat in Yenagoa
