Says beyond consensus candidacy, he is capable of fixing Nigeria’s problems
His Excellency, former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, on Tuesday, 19th April 2022, continued his consultations with delegates ahead of the PDP Presidential primaries by visiting party leaders in Ebonyi and Enugu States in the South East. Mr. Peter Obi was received by the State Party Chairman in Ebonyi State, Mr. Tochukwu Okorie and upon his arrival in Enugu was received by the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Mrs. Cecelia Ezeilo.
Peter Obi told the delegates that while consensus to produce a President from the South East is important, it is also important to focus more on the capabilities of aspirants who can fix the myriads of problems in Nigeria. He said “It is important to consider where people come from in a diverse country such as ours for equity’s sake. The country, however, needs someone now who will start creating wealth to make the economy viable. I can fix this country having a record of being a trader, of operating in the corporate world, and being a governor among other antecedents’’.
Mr. Peter Obi has now visited the 6 Southern States of Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Delta, Enugu and Ebonyi to consult with leaders and delegates of the PDP ahead of the Presidential primaries on May 29.
