Three individuals were miraculously rescued after a 40-foot container toppled onto a Toyota Corolla car in Ojuelegba, Lagos.
Reports say the harrowing incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Sunday night.
According to eyewitnesses, the container-laden truck was in the process of ascending a bridge when disaster struck.
In a terrifying turn of events, the truck tripped, tumbled off the bridge, and crashed down onto the unsuspecting vehicle below, which bore the number plate JJJ-811-FV.
Confirming the incident, Margaret Adeseye, the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, said the team swiftly responded to the emergency.
“The rescue alert, which was triggered at 20:45 hours on Sunday, brought together the Sari Iganmu Rescue Crew of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, along with other state emergency responders and concerned sympathisers,” the statement read.
Fortunately, the rescue teams managed to extract the two adult males and the female from the wreckage, ensuring their survival.
They received immediate first aid at the accident scene before being transported to the Lagos State Accident and Trauma Centre for further medical attention.
