I wish FIDA-LAGOS happy deliberations as it discusses:
“Gender-Based Violence- Stemming The Tide”.
Statistics show that 9% of women aged 15 to 49 had suffered sexual assault at least once in their lifetime and 31% had experienced physical violence. It is not just a social offense but also a war against nature.
“Stemming the tide” must provoke a clarion call that we must all heed.
