Just as I’d prayed and hoped, the good news flew in yesterday afternoon with most pleasant tunes. That I have over 20 persons on the list of new SAN designates approved yesterday by the LPPC for the conferment of the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria is a thing of great pride and joy for me. I cannot but express my irrepressible delight that I have my dear friend and big brother, the NBA political maestro Murtala Abdulrasheed (Murray) on the list and many other big brothers and allies like Adekunle Ojo, Kazeem Gbadamosi, Alhaji Tajudeen Oladoja, Victor Opara, Sir Emeka Obegolu, Prof. Abiola Sanni (my former lecturer), Rotimi Seriki, Wale Fapohunda (AG Ekiti State), Alh. Salman Jawando (AG Kwara State), my international ‘IBA’ connection egbon, Kayode Adeluola, Ikeazor Akaraiwe, Mohammed Ndayako, Chijioke Precious Emeka, Anthony Mogboh and my Great Ife bothers
Oluwasina Ogungbade and Afolabi Kuti all made the Honours’ list. Congratulations to you all. I have no doubt that you shall wear the silk robe to the admiration of all legal practitioners and the betterment of the legal profession.
