I congratulate the Chairman, Executive Committee, Law Week Planning Committee and entire members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Enugu Branch, on the 2021 Law Week which holds between 30th November to 3rd December, 2021.
The Theme of the Law Week: “Strengthening The Judicial Process For Justice Delivery In A Period of National Crisis” is very instructive and apt in view of the present times. Our justice system is in dire need of reconstruction to curb the disturbing trend which tends to project our judicial process as too cumbersome, inefficient and unreliable. The rampant incidences of insurgency, banditry, “unknown gunmen” attacks, kidnappings and other criminal activities which have thrown Nigeria into a crisis situation makes the need for an effectively working judicial process very sacrosanct.
I wish the entire members of the Branch and all participants, a fruitful and most successful Law Week.
