Adesina Adegbite, FICMC, has been elected as the new Secretary General of the West African Bar Association (WABA). Adegbite, who is the current Secretary General of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), brings a wealth of experience and leadership to his new role.
Adegbite has had a distinguished career within the NBA. Before assuming his current position, he served as the Secretary of the NBA Ikeja Branch.
In his acceptance speech, Adegbite expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their support and emphasized his commitment to advancing the objectives of WABA. “I am deeply honored by this opportunity to serve our esteemed association at a regional level. Together, we will strive to uphold the rule of law, enhance legal practice standards, and foster greater collaboration among West African lawyers,” Adegbite stated.
Legal practitioners and stakeholders across the region have lauded Adegbite’s election, expressing confidence in his ability to lead WABA effectively.
