Friday, the 24th day of July 2020, was a remarkable day for Mrs. Joyce Oduah, FICMC, as members of the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Suleja Chapter, endorsed her as their sole candidate for the Office of the NBA General Secretary, in the forthcoming NBA National Election, scheduled for 29th -30th July 2020. The endorsement was disclosed to the public by the Chairperson, Florence Oluwatoyin Egbunu.
In her statement, Mrs. Egbunu stated that some of the reasons the FIDA Chapter decided to support Mrs. Oduah are: her passion for the advancement of the NBA, innovative mindset, diligence, bravery, accessibility and flair to manage the NBA National Secretariat. She advised the public not to misconstrue that the FIDA Chapter adopted Joyce Oduah basically because she is a woman. She portrayed Joyce Oduah as a woman with exceptional leadership qualities, proven track record and the required competences to occupy the Office of the NBA General Secretary for the good of all Nigerian lawyers. She added that Joyce’s achievements both at the NBA National and Branch levels are unmatched by any other contestant. Finally, she assured lawyers that Joyce Oduah will reposition the NBA National Secretariat to serve all lawyers better, and also called on all lawyers, both male and female, to support Joyce Oduah, FICMC for the Office of General Secretary.
