Peter Obi, presidential candidate of Labour Party has defeated the APC’s candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in Lagos State in Saturday’s presidential election.
According to results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on local government basis and collated by PM NEWS, Obi polled 582,454 votes to defeat Tinubu, who scored 572,607 votes.
Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party polled 75,750 votes to come third.
Tinubu won in 11 Local Governments, while Obi won in nine local governments. But Obi won by large margins.
The 11 local government areas where Tinubu triumphed are Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere and Mushin.
Obi won in nine LGs, such as Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Amuwo-Odofin, Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Somolu, Alimosho and Ojo.
