The Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN) President, Chimezie Victor C. Ihekweazu SAN, officially began the association’s first four-day membership training program on February 8th, 2024. Welcoming 54 enthusiastic participants, the president emphasized BRIPAN’s core objectives, uniting lawyers, accountants, and bankers specializing in insolvency.
His address highlighted the significance of:
- Insolvency options under the recently enacted CAMA 2024
- Enhancing knowledge of insolvency law, business restructuring, and rescue
- Actively engaging and maximizing learning opportunities
- Seizing new practice areas within the evolving insolvency landscape
President Ihekweazu concluded by stressing the collective responsibility of all participants to contribute to the growth and development of Nigeria’s insolvency regime. He also emphasized the importance of supporting judicial efforts to advance the law and practice of insolvency in the country.
The BRIPAN’s membership training will hold between 8th – 9th, and 15th – 16th of February 2024.
