Igando/Ikotun LCDA is currently agog as the people and the Council celebrates the birthday of one of their foremost Leaders; Honourable Jimoh Ajao who is a grassroot Personnel, a well integrated and detribalised politician, a mentor par excellence and a devoutly religious father and elder statesman.
One of our correspondents ; during a one-on-one interview with Honourable Jimoh Ajao, the Ashiwaju of Igando/kotun LCDA , now put these together.
Honourable Jimoh Ajao, the Ashiwaju of Igando/ Ikotun LCDA, who clocks 65 years on the 5th day of January, 2022 took a deep breath and started thus:
Taking a retrospective view, of the past as it relates to where we are today therefore, I have no hesitation whatsoever to express my profound gratitude first; to Almighty God for preserving my life to see yet another brand New Year in good health, sound mind and exponential blessings, also my appreciation goes to the APC National Leader Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Jagaban Bogu himself and not leaving out our dearly beloved Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency; Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu (sellable!) and other Apex Leaders as well as our noble, amiable and hardworking Chairman of IGANDO/ IKOTUN L.C.D.A Senior Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya whose achievement within the shortest period in office has become ‘Primus Inter Paris. I must also not forget the people of Igando/Ikotun for giving me the opportunity to lead the Council as the Council Chairman of IGANDO/IKOTUN L.C.D.A that was years back and from there I was appointed as the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Lagos State on Works and Housing during the two terms of Mr. Babatunde Raji Fasola and I will still not forget the kindness and the people’ prayers during the darkest period of my life and with all these, I say: I am indeed grateful to the Almighty God and to you all.
In the light of all these, I assure APC National and the people of Igando/Ikotun LCDA that , I am committed to serve the party with every ounce of my energy for the betterment of Igando/ Ikotun LCDA and the Nation in general.
I must also commend the synergistically positioned ‘Face of Honourable Jimoh Ajao’ under the Leadership of trusted hands drawn from different works of life to make a difference by supporting the present Administration towards delivering on the campaign mandate; made to the people of Igando/Ikotun L.C.D.A.
This same Face of Honourable Jimoh Ajao in conjunction with the Council Chairman has graciously offered and put together various programmes and other high-level engagements which is not limited to the on going football competition to commemorate my 65th birthday anniversary to appreciate and in cognisant of the meritorious service and efforts exerted to reposition Igando/Ikotun LCDA during my tenure as chairman for a better and effective community development; which dividends we are all enjoying now.
Once more, as I say thank you, I am also using this opportunity to encourage us to come together with a view to move our Local Government forward to enhance the development of our communities.
