In a resounding endorsement of his unwavering integrity and commitment to ethical practices, Charles Ajiboye,Esq., the National Assistant Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), has been vindicated by the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA). The Committee has dismissed the baseless petitions filed against him separately by Bridget Edokwe, Esq. and Ferdinand Naza, Esq., both contestants for the same office.
The ECNBA, after an exhaustive and meticulous review of the petitions alleging infractions related to the use of NBA channels and platforms, found the claims to be utterly without merit and dismissed them.
The petitioners had attempted to have the frontline candidate for Publicity Secretary disqualified through various tactics, including writing petitions against Charles Ajiboye. We have it on good authority that one of the petitioners, out of sheer desperation wrote a letter to the NBA President and made calls to the leadership of the NBA, insisting that Charles be prevented from carrying out his current constitutional duties as Assistant Publicity Secretary, claiming it was giving him undue advantage.
The Petitioners have also sponsored various articles by senior lawyers designed to anger and irritate Charles Ajiboye, Esq. Yet he has stomached all these attacks and has remained focused. He has rather continued to render exceptional services to the NBA, pushing his campaign solely on the basis of his past achievements and his vision for the future of NBA as Publicity Secretary. Charles maintains that if competence, capacity, and experience matters to lawyers, then choosing him as Publicity Secretary will be a simple decision to make.
As a recipient of numerous prestigious awards, former Chairman of the NBA Young Lawyers Forum, Ikeja Branch, Publicity Secretary of NBA Ikeja, and National Assistant Publicity Secretary, Charles comes prepared, tested, and trusted.
This landmark decision by the ECNBA sends a powerful message to the legal community and beyond: integrity and truth will always prevail. The dismissal of these meritless petitions is a testament to Charles Ajiboye’s unassailable character and his enduring commitment to the principles of justice and fairness.
The legal profession stands stronger with individuals like Charles Ajiboye, whose integrity and dedication remain unshaken even in the face of unfounded challenges.
