Chicago State University was trending on Friday in Nigeria as the academic records of President Bola Tinubu surfaced online.
The University which had on Thursday confirmed that Tinubu graduated from the school in 1979, released the former student’s transcript that showed why he graduated Cum Laude from the university.
Com Laude means to graduate “with distinction,” or “with honor,” or “with praise.”
The transcript which was released to Abubakar Atiku’s lawyers showed that Tinubu was a brilliant student while in the school.
He scored As in Pre Calculus, Intermediate Accounts, Business Law, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Cost Accounting and many others.
It also shows that Tinubu scored just a C in composition and a B in advanced accounting and Price Allocation Theory.
However, instead of the transcript cooling the controversy about the President’s education, it ignited another.
The transcript showed that Tinubu was born on 29 March 1954.
Whereas he has consistently claimed he was born 29 March 1952.
The issue is not new, but the politician had always blamed the error on typographical error.
