Words failed me when the news of the death of Yinka Farounbi was broken. We were both branch Chairmen of our respective branches about the same time, specfically between 2014 and 2016. And so we worked and related very closely, not only as Co-NEC member, but as jolly good fellows, during the period under reference.
Yinka, who was like a big brother to me, was an amiable person, an exemplary leader and a gentleman per excellence. His death is not a loss only to the Tiger Bar but, indeed, to the Nigerian legal community.
My condolences go the his immediate family, the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja branch, the National Executive Committee of the NBA to which he was an active member for six years and the entire legal community.
