Esteemed Colleagues,
It is with a profound sense of gratitude and humility that I accept the great honour bestowed upon me to serve as your General Secretary. This victory is not mine alone but belongs to each of you who have placed your trust in me to serve our esteemed association. Your confidence in my abilities and vision for the future is both humbling and inspiring. I pledge to dedicate myself wholly to the responsibilities of this office, working tirelessly to uphold the values and integrity that define the Nigerian Bar Association.
In this moment of triumph, I find it fitting to dedicate this success to a man whose legacy continues to inspire me, the late Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi, SAN with whom I started this journey some six years ago. Professor Akanbi was not only a paragon of legal excellence but also a beacon of ethical leadership and a mentor to many within our legal community.
As we move forward together, I draw inspiration from Professor Akanbi’s exemplary life. I am committed to fostering an environment of transparency, inclusiveness, and professional excellence within the Secretariat. Let us work collaboratively to address the challenges we face and to seize the opportunities before us, always with the goal of advancing the legal profession and enhancing the welfare of our colleagues.
