Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has disowned advertisements published in some online platforms that it is recruiting.
EFCC in a statement by its spokesperson, Dele Oyewale on Tuesday said contrary to the claims in the advertisement, it is not carrying out any recruitment at present.
It therefore warned members of the public not to fall for the recruitment scam.
The anti-graft agency added that its operatives are already on the trail of the masterminds of the false recruitment scam to bring them to book.
“The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to some online advertisements linking the Commission with phony “ongoing recruitments”.
“The Commission is not recruiting at the moment.
“The public is enjoined to ignore any advertisement of recruitment not publicly announced by the EFCC. Operatives of the Commission are on the trail of fraudsters offering misleading information in this regard and they will be brought to book,” the ant–graft agency said.
