Governor Simon Lalong has congratulated President-elect Bola Tinubu and his Vice-President-elect Kashim Shettima on the victory of Saturday’s presidential election.
His congratulatory message is contained in a statement issued by the governor’s Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Makut Macham, on Wednesday, in Jos.
Tinubu was declared the winner of the elections, winning 12 states with the highest votes of 8,794,726.
Lalong who is the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), described Tinubu’s victory as an act of God.
He expressed confidence that Tinubu and his deputy Shettima will keep their promises of ensuring peace, unity, justice, equity and fairness to all Nigerians irrespective of their backgrounds.
According to him, the victory had also justified his many years of hard work, perseverance and commitment to the democratic development of the country.
Thereafter, the Plateau governor thanked Chairman of the PCC, President Muhammadu Buhari and the entire leadership of PCC for coordinating a robust campaign which led to their success.
He commended Tinubu for inviting other contestants to collaborate with him to build a great future for all Nigerians.
Meanwhile, he advised candidates and political parties who might have complaints to seek redress through the provision of the constitution.
They should shun using incitement to express any noticed dissatisfaction about the process, he said.
