The Human Rights Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja branch is set to hold a 3-day Lecture in recognition of the World Human Rights Day. The general public is hereby invited to attend this lecture.
Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). The UDHR is a milestone document, which proclaims the inalienable rights that everyone is entitled to as a human being – regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, language, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Available in more than 500 languages, it is the most translated document in the world.
The theme of the Lecture is ALL HUMAN ALL EQUAL – ADVANCING HUMAN RIGHTS.

Day 1: Wednesday, 8th Dec. 2021 / Topic: Curbing Insecurity & the Need to Protect Citizens’ Rights – Striking the Balance.
Day 2: Thursday, 9th December, 2021 / Topic: Work/Life Balance and Human Rights
Day 3: Friday, 10th December 2021 / Topic: Checking the increasing Menace of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence in Nigeria- The Way Forward.
