I consider it a great honour and privilege to be sworn-in as the Chairman of IGANDO/ IKOTUN L.C.D.A on the 27th day of July, 2021 and anyone who keenly followed the process that culminated in my being the CHAIRMAN would attest to the fact that my victory at the poll was neither by my intellect, popularity nor that of any mortal but, it is divinely inspired and orchestrated by the Almighty God who I owe all the gratitude now, and forever.
I owe a debt of gratitude to the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu – The Jagaban Bogu, The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu including but not limited to Our apex Leaders in IGANDO/ IKOTUN L.C.D.A, CHIEF JIMOH AJAO and ABDULLAHI AYINDE ENILOLOBO and the past chairmen of IGANDO/ IKOTUN as well as all the Royal Fathers within the IGANDO/IKOTUN’ precincts. I truly appreciate the role they have played during the election process and continue to play till now. In as much as I can never recognise all the categories of persons deserving of mention herein due to paucity of space and time, I must acknowledge the role played by my numerous supporters and campaign team which comprised of the very talented and Committed professionals drawn from different works of life who believe in me and volunteered their time and talents for the project COMRADE LASISI AYINDE AKINSANYA, I say Thank You for your immense support till now. While it is also impossible to mention all names and everyone who demonstrated their belief in my candidacy and stood firmly by me publicly even when it was not convenient to do so, permit me to give this especially to the Youth of IGANDO/ IKOTUN, ILERI OLUWA and the indefatigable AKINSANYA FOOT-SOLDIERS who have seen the need to immediately stamp out any form of societal sleaze and indeed fervently stood by their mandate, I say Thank You So Much and God bless you. If you will recall that in my maiden campaign, I have always orchestrated for an all-inclusive governance and to achieve this, I plead with all concerned to come together as a united front because I am not oblivious of the cleavages that emerged during the campaign and the attempt to pitch some groups against each other and as you know, I am not an harbinger of division but a symbol of unity and a bridge to build an egalitarian society and encourage good coexistence and a better rapport between all party stalwarts and other APC members in IGANDO/ IKOTUN LCDA in particular and Lagos State in general.
