As the 2022 election of the Nigerian Bar Association gets underway, the Ikeja Branch of the NBA is poised to record the biggest win of the election as Charles Ajiboye, the candidate for the office of the Assistant Publicity Secretary and two other candidates of the Branch, Adesina Adegbite running for the office of General Secretary and Amanda Asagba for the office 3rd Vice President take comfortable lead in their different categories.
Watchers of the election informed our reporter that Charles Ajiboye who had maitained the lead from the commencement of voting continues to widen the lead against his only opponent Akachukwu Nwoye as the election runs to a close.
The story is similar for both Adegbite and Asagba who are also tipped to be returned elected the next General Secretary and the 3rd Vice President respectively of the Branch.
A cross section of lawyers who are eligible voters in the election were of the strong opinion that even though the election will not be concluded until 11:59 pm of today Saturday 16th July, 2022, Charles Ajiboye is likely to continue the leading streak until the close of polls.
One responder, Musa Bala of Abuja branch during a phone interview with our reporter said “Charles will definitely continue to widen the gap and he will surely win the election”.
Another supporter of Charles from the Lagos branch who preferred not to be named said “I am not surprised Charles is leading in this election effortlessly. If you followed the Campaigns and scrutinised his manifesto, you cannot be surprised Charles is the candidate to beat for that office. I congratulate him ahead”.
The Nigerian Bar Association 2022 election kicked-off on Saturday, 16th July, 2022 and will close by 11:59pm of the same day
