- We woke up this morning to read a social media post accredited to K.C. Okoro Esq., wherein he asserted that Joyce Oduah, FICMC served as the NBA National Treasurer under J. B Daudu, SAN between 2010 and 2012, and also accused U.F.O Nnaemeka of misrepresentation of fact. As teeming supporters of Joyce Oduah, we find this assertion to be very erroneous, spurious and a gross display of ignorance. Clearly, this is another smear campaign against Joyce Oduah who currently enjoys a considerable and triumphant support from lawyers nationwide.
- For purposes of clarity and to set the record straight, Joyce Oduah served as the NBA National Treasurer while U. F. O Nnaemeka served as the 2nd Assistant Secretary under Chief Okey Wali, SAN between 2012 and 2014. Other National Officers who also served under Okey Wali, SAN include Osas Erahabor (1st Vice President), Mr. Stephen Abar (2nd Vice President), Francis Ekwere (3rd Vice President), Chief Emeka Obegolu (General Secretary) Dr. Paul Ebiala (1st Assistant Secretary), Sule Usman (Legal Adviser), Aisha Ado-Abdullahi (Financial Secretary), Kelvin Ezinne Ejelonu (Welfare Officer), Afam Obi ( Publicity Secretary), John Unachukwu (Assistant Publicity Secretary) and Folake Abiodun (Assistant Financial Secretary).
- In point of fact, the NBA National Treasurer under J.B Daudu, SAN was Olufunmi Oluyede (Mrs.) and not Joyce Oduah, FICMC. By the special grace of God, these erudite men and women are still alive, sound and healthy, and this fact can easily be verified or confirmed from any of them.
- It is therefore very preposterous and venomous for Mr. Okoro to assert otherwise and to even insult a former National Officer, U.F.O. Nnaemeka, for exercising his inalienable right to endorse a candidate. Indeed, Mr. Okoro’s post is a deliberate attempt to mislead and confuse the legal community. It is even more disappointing and shameful that Mr. Okoro did not even take any reasonable step, as expected of any prudent person, to confirm this fact. This only demonstrates Mr. Okoro’s ambition to frustrate Joyce Oduah’s campaign by hook or crook.
- We are in the circumstance, urging Mr. Okoro to desist from being used as an errand boy by others against Joyce Oduah. He has only succeeded in exposing his ignorance & unjustified hatred for Joyce Oduah, and in making our candidate, Joyce Oduah, more popular. We therefore demand a public apology from K.C Okoro, Esq to U. F. O. Nnaemeka and our dear Amazon, Joyce Oduah within 48 hours.
