The Honorable Justice Rakiya Haastrup of the Abuja Judicial Division of the National Industrial Court of Nigeria has dismissed the interlocutory injunction that sought to halt the process of appointing a new Accountant General of the Federation until the main case is concluded.
On Wednesday, the court determined that several aspects of the application would be addressed as part of the substantive case, making it unnecessary to pause the appointment process.
Joshua Kadmi Luka, the claimant in the case, represented by his lawyer, Ibrahim Angulu, SAN, urged the court for an expedited hearing, citing the significance and timely nature of the matter.
Justice Haastrup, however, adjourned the case, setting the next hearing for March 25, 2025.
