Question. Sir, may we meet you please?
Ans: I am Olumide Olajide Alabi; a Lagos based Legal Practitioner and a human rights activist and an Indigene of Ondo state. I am the founder of Justice and Care Movement( JCM) that produces the LegalPolitics Talk show
Q. Before we talk about the LegalPolitics Talk Show, please sir, what do you do at Justice and Care Movement?
Ans: The Justice and Care Movement was formerly named Voice of the Masses. It was founded in January,2020. As the name implies, it is a movement that has two main objects that encompasses others. These two objects are ; Promotion and Protection of humans rights through the provision of free legal services; the second aspect is the CARE aspects that has to do with rendering philanthropic services to the poor masses that are in need of medical, social or economic services etc.
Q . Wow!!! Excellent. But how do you intend to carry out all these services to humanity?
Ans: Thanks. JCM is a movement of like minded people that cut across different disciplines. In JCM , we have lawyers, doctors, engineers, farmers, Accountants, soldiers, Politicians, human rights activists, journalists, drivers , carpenters, economists, computer scientists etc from about ten different states in Nigeria, that are willing to render volunteering services for the betterment of the society.
For example, the lawyers among us are willing to render pro bono legal services and public legal enlightenment to the poor while the doctors among us are also willing to volunteer to render free medical services and Public health education to the poor masses. We also rally round Members in need.
Q. Lovely! Please, tell us about the LegalPolitics Talk Show.
Ans: The LegalPolitics Talk Show is a program borne out of passion to help in salvaging Nigeria from the hands of visionless leaders. The aim is to put national vision and purpose on the minds of the youths who wish to make impact in life and contribute towards the salvation of the country.
You would notice that most youths have passion for football and sport generally than the passion they have for nation building. Most Nigerian youths do not think about what they can do for Nigeria but what Nigeria can do for them. They only have vision for themselves and not for the country. Hence, Nigerian is like an orphan that has no genuine people caring for her.
Majority of the present crops of Politicians are self-centred people. They are absolutely corrupt.They care not whether the country collapse or not in as much as they and their family members are okay. These people don’t think about the progress of Nigeria and how to make Nigeria great.
So the vision of the LegalPolitics is to set worthy priorities for the Nigerian youths who should be the Nation’s THINK TANKS.
If we youth can pay same or greater attentions to nation building like we do for football,this country would greatly be an heaven on earth.
If we youths can say no to womanising and prostituting or stop engaging in “olosoism” which is a modern day advanced prostitution among our ladies and redirect our focus to worthy cause of liberating our country by telling the aged people who have failed the country that enough is enough ,then the future will be extremely bright for the country.
So ,one of the potent visions of LegalPolitics Talk Show is to make every Nigerian Youth in particular and African youth by extension to be a “THINKER”; We are to turn ourselves to “THINK TANKS” for the continent.
Each of us will think of what we can do to make Nigeria great; We would think like true leaders think. We would present the realistic plans and blue prints we have for Nigeria and her people.So, the LegalPolitics Talk Show is an avenue for each of us to come out and tell our visions of how each of us can make Nigeria great as the President of Nigeria or as a Governor of a state or as a leader in any position of authority.
By so doing, the present leaders can as well learn from young ones as to what are really needed by the Nigerian masses and the country as a whole.
It will interest us to know that most people around our leaders are sycophants and opportunists who do not make the plights of the Nigerian masses known to the leaders who themselves are mostly not ready to listen to good advice and corrections.
So, through this Talk Show, we believe the present crops of leaders and future leaders can learn the plights of people and what people really need from their leaders as explained by the upcoming would be leaders.
Q: Excellent! What happens on the Show sir?
Ans: Yeah. Thanks a lot. As the name implies, it is a talk show. Two guests will be on the show with two moderators on every episode. Each of the guests will put himself or herself in the position of a Presidential or gubernatorial aspirant and he or she would be asked questions and he or she would tell Nigerians the visions and realistic plans he or she has to make Nigeria great; how to solve the problems of Nigeria; how to rewrite the story of Nigeria for good etc.
Q: Who are those that can participate on each episode of the LegalPolitics Talk Show?
Anyone that is Constitutionally qualified to occupy any elective position that we are showcasing.
Are you bold, confident and articulate in presenting your views on how to build Nigeria?
Do you think that you can enter heated arena of a very deep intellectual discourse on how to make Nigeria great?
Do you think you have all it takes to be a Nigerian President , state governor,a senator,a member of the House of Representatives and State House of Assembly?
Can you boldly present your blue prints on the plan you have for Nigeria and Nigerians if you were the president of Nigeria or a state governor or any elective position, in a very straightforward cum realistic way ?
