On Monday, a Magistrate’s Court convened in Yaba, Lagos State, and granted bail to the singer Azeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, known as Sam Larry.
The bail amount was set at N20 million, and it came with three responsible sureties.
Naira Marley, Sam Larry, along with two others, had been arraigned and detained on October 6 due to their alleged involvement in the circumstances surrounding the death of the musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, who was popularly known as Mohbad.
Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun directed the defendants to surrender their passports and ordered them to report weekly to the State Criminal Investigation Department located at Panti.
As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are required to forfeit their passports and appear weekly at the State Criminal Investigation Department.
Magistrate Olatunbosun also cautioned that no one should attempt to contact her directly regarding the case.
She stated, “Any efforts to contact me directly will be documented and could potentially be revealed during open court proceedings.”
