Edo State Commissioner for Arts, Culture, Tourism and Diaspora Affairs, Mrs. Uyi Oduwa-Malaka, has been stripped of her honorary chieftaincy title: the Uzoyare of Ozalla, conferred on her by the Onotare of Ozalla Kingdom in Owan West Local Government, King Nathaniel Igelugbo Omogbai.
Oduwa-Malaka was accused of misconduct and disrespect to the monarch, by asking him to meet her in the car when she drove into the palace on April 12.
The traditional ruler, yesterday, in a statement by the palace’s spokesman, Dr. Osumah Obaze, ordered the revocation of the chieftaincy title of the commissioner to act as a deterrent to others with the intention of desecrating the respected throne.
The monarch also said another title: Ozemevboya of Ozalla, given to George Ohioma, a lawyer, was also revoked.
