The Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, recently conducted an educational session for students of Ikeja Junior and Senior High School on zero tolerance for sexual and other forms of abuse. The event took place on the 22nd and 23rd of May, 2024.
This two-day event, themed “Zero Tolerance for Child Abuse,” aimed to inform students about securing legal representation in cases of child abuse. During the event, Mrs. Tracy Amadigwe-Dike, chair of the branch’s human rights committee, highlighted the importance of children’s rights and the need for their protection.
“Even harsh words can impact children’s reasoning and mindset. We encourage you to report any incidents of sexual abuse; the law is there to protect you,” she stated.
