NBA Ikeja branch in collaboration with Police College, GRA Ikeja would on Saturday, 4th December, 2021 by 7am commence a Fitness Walk within the Ikeja Jurisdiction.
The Fitness Walk was organized to help members keep fit and also create awareness for same.
It may interest you to know that the benefits of engaging in a fitness walk reduces the risk of heart disease, lowers blood pressure, strengthens the heart, lightens up ones mood, strengthens the muscles, improves breath, slows down mental decline amongst several other benefits. While it is fun to wine and dine, it is also important to cultivate the habit of exercising the body to improve wellness of the body.
The Fitness Walk would be led by Professional Fitness Instructors and would start from Police officers mess gate at 24, Sobo Arobiodun street GRA Ikeja to Cubana, then to army cantonment, to Maryland, back to Leventis, army cantonment, to Sheraton, down to customs, to under bridge computer village, then down to General Hospital, to Bishop vinin, then straight to the gym
The Fitness Walk would be in 2 categories namely, the Walking Group and the Jogging group. The Walking group would commence 30 minutes ahead of the Jogging group, as the two groups would meet close to the finish line.
