Troops from the 6 Brigade of the Nigerian Army have successfully disrupted a significant logistics supply chain for terrorists in Taraba State.
The operation took place around Bunka Village in the Lau Local Government Area, leading to the arrest of a key logistics supplier, Musa Inusa.
In a statement from the Brigade’s Spokesman, Captain Olubodunde Oni, it was revealed that Inusa was allegedly providing essential supplies and materials to terrorist groups operating in the region. His apprehension is anticipated to disrupt their operations and weaken their capabilities.
Items recovered from Inusa during the arrest included a jackknife, ₦2,460 in cash, wraps of a substance suspected to be Indian hemp, and various illicit drugs.
Additionally, the troops arrested three bandits in Jeb-Jeb, a border community adjacent to Plateau State, located in the Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State. The suspects—Adamu Abubakar, Mohammed Bello, and Musa Adamu—are believed to have been involved in a range of criminal activities, including armed robbery, kidnappings, and violent assaults on local communities.
These arrests are part of a broader initiative by the 6 Brigade to combat the increasing wave of inter-state criminality within its area of operations. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects have been active in the state for several years, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend additional members of their criminal syndicate.
