We of the Save Climate and Democracy Naija Coalition hereby today , the 4th day of February , 2020 hereby issues the Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu -led Lagos State Government SEVEN DAYS’ ULTIMATUM to cease and dissipate on 11TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2020 to reverse the ban on Okada and Maruwa, failing which we shall on the said date hold CITYWIDE #TAKEBACK
LAGOS PROTESTS.
We have argued copiously that the unscientific ban on Okada and Maruwa without an entire upgrade of the existing transportation systems and industrialisation to absorb the large army of the unemployed will lead to crisis.
We have been proven correct as the chaos and anarchy is here for everyone to experience. Lagosians have been trekking long distances like the biblical Children of Israel.
We are aghast that the so-called palliative of the Lagos State Government is nowhere to be found.
We condemn the bloody repression of motorcyclists and tricyclists who are protesting the ban at Iyana Ipaja.
We hereby give notice that we will not hesitate taking out legal actions against the Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu -led Lagos State Government both within the national and international Jurisdictions, including but not limited to International Criminal Court against the attack on fundamental rights of protesters.
