The judgement of the National and State Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal, Oyo state delivered on the 4th of September,2023 was appealed by the Petitioners who were displeased with the judgement which was in favor of Senator Sharafadeen Alli.
The Court of Appeal today 27th October, 2023 rested it’s judgement on the sole issue distilled by the 1st Respondents counsel, Charles Olawale Ajiboye,Esq. and unanimously dismissed the appeal with cost of NGN200,000 awarded in favor of the Respondents against the Appellant.
The Court agreed with the respondents and held that the issues raised by the petitioner at the tribunal is a pre-election matter. Court also agreed that the Appellant did not prove non-compliance as claimed.
