The three (3) candidates for NBA General Secretary are unquestionably brilliant bar men, but Mr. Adesina Adegbite popularly known as (AA) has consistently demonstrated his leadership and service qualities to the progress of young lawyers in our country .
In 2018, immediately after Bar final examinations, the Director-General of the Nigerian Law School handed the Chairman of the SRC Abuja Campus an invitation from the NBA to the 2018 General Conference to lead the delegation from the different campuses at the conference.
A few hours after the meeting, we got a call from AA, who was then the NBA Welfare secretary and the brain behind the invitation. He ensured that we were catered for adequately throughout the conference and even accorded respect as lawyers though we were not called to the Nigerian Bar yet at that time.
Young Lawyers have benefited greatly from AA’s mentoring and placement assistance in prestigious law firms. He has continually shown himself to be a fantastic leader. The exposure to NBA affairs courtesy AA made most of us develop more than passive interest in the activities of NBA, hence the emergence of one us Adekunle Olanipekun as NBA YLF Chairman in Abuja.
Our belief that AA would perform even better as the General Secretary of the Bar has been further strengthened by this action and his much talk about excellent performances as the National Welfare Secretary. Therefore, we enjoin all members of the Bar to reward excellence and hard work with more work.
Signed:
- Adekunle Olanipekun Esq (Chairman, SRC Abuja Campus)
- Babafemi Falayi (Chairman, SRC Enugu Campus
- Segun Faniran (Chairman, SRC Bayelsa Campus)
- Victor Kuforiji (Chairman, SRC Kano Campus)
- Akintomide Bamidele (Chairman, SRC Yola Campus)
