The 2015 All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Rivers State, Dr Dakuku Peterside has said the victory of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the just concluded presidential election represents a promising moment in Nigeria’s history.
According to him, the confidence reposed in the Tinubu-Shettima joint ticket underscores the trust majority of Nigerians have in them to chart a new course for the country.
He expressed fervent believe that the Tinubu-led administration will not disappoint millions of Nigerians who see hope in him.
Peterside, who is the immediate past director general of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) called on Nigerians to have faith in President-Elect Tinubu, who he says is a man of wisdom and deep intellect.
Said he, “ultimate power belongs to God, and in the realm of men, He gives power to whom He wishes. God has made you the president-elect of our great country to play your part in His beautiful plans for our nation.
“Your electoral victory represents a promising moment in Nigeria’s history and testifies to the confidence Nigerians reposed in you and their hope in your ability to chart Nigeria’s future course to greatness effectively. It also emphasises that you are grounded in the politics of hope and the delivery of Nigeria from the shackles of despair and hopelessness.
“My sincere wishes are for your administration’s success. I pray for your well-being, prosperity, peace and prosperity of Nigeria.”
Peterside, who is also a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, commended the Vice President-Elect, Senator Kashim Shettima for his support and perseverance in the grueling campaigns across the states.
“Senator Shettima worked extremely hard to achieve this electoral victory with his principal, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He will continue working hard to restore hope to Nigerians and build the Nigeria of our dreams.
“He is an essential asset to the President-elect in managing the affairs of our great nation. His humility, kindness, and love for our country are evident and will aid him in his new position,” he stressed.
