Anthony Okorie Ani

The Senator representing Ebonyi South Senatorial Zone in the National Assembly, Anthony Okorie Ani, has urged Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu-led administration, assuring that the president’s policies will soon yield positive results.

Okorie stated this in Onicha local government area during the distribution of over 1,000 bags of fertilizers to farmers and 65 motorcycles to youths in his constituency.

The senator assured that the President means well for the country and expressed confidence that Nigerians will eventually “sing songs of praises” of the president.

Senator Ani reiterated his commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to his constituents while advocating for continued support for the current administration.

He explained that the motorcycles that were distributed to youths are intended, not only to empower the youths, but also to ease transportation challenges in the rural areas where vehicles cannot easily access.

“The only way to come out of economic gridlock is to be fully engaged in agriculture. And the only way to boost agriculture is through fertilizer, giving it the manure it requires so that it will do well.”

The senator also outlined some of the constituency projects he has attracted to the zone, including the construction of 5km of roads in each of the five local government areas of Ebonyi South Senatorial District and the installation of solar-powered street lights across various communities.

In addition to these projects, the Senator mentioned the facilitation of employment placements for several constituents in key federal government agencies.

He said: “Support to our farmers and economic empowerment of women and youths, some of which included the 65 Nos of Motorcycles that have been given out today. We have also facilitated employment placements of many people from our zone into key federal government agencies, just to mention a few”

“Also, in the coming months, we shall be launching our educational support programme and digital tech skills drive among our teeming young population.

“Digital technology skill is a key requirement for survival in today’s world and we are embracing it squarely to ensure that our young people are sufficiently equipped to fit into the 21st century society”.
