I met Mr. Dele Adesina SAN (DASAN) for the first time when I was the General Secretary, Law Student Society, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State in 2016. At that time, I and the then President of Law Student Society, Quadri Olaniran, Esq. (of blessed memory) approached him with our proposal to host the first Dele Adesina SAN National Moot & Mock Competition in his honour. Even as a Student, he embraced us and accepted our proposal and that was how the journey of Dele Adesina SAN National Moot & Mock Competition started in Faculty of Law, Obafemi Awolowo University.
As ECNBA has published the Final List of Voters and Eligible Candidates, I urge members of the Association to adopt a candidate who epitomises the very best of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), who has efficiently served in different capacities within and outside the Association, and someone who has a clear vision of what young Lawyers need, including Law Students.
As we get closer to the Election dates, my support for DASAN is based on his landmark achievements in Legal Practice which includes the reforms he has championed and implemented for the advancement of the Legal Profession as well as his immense contribution to the sustainable development of the NBA. Looking at the present situation of the NBA, I am confident that DASAN is an individual that has the credentials to transform the NBA.
I am indeed knowledgeable of the fact that DASAN has built a successful Legal Practice that cuts across the core paractice areas of the Legal Profession. It is the experience of such a man that the NBA needs at the helm of its affairs at this time to lead the Association unto the acme of perfection.
DASAN supporters are riding on the pedigree, successes and experience of their candidate in areas of Leadership, Genuine Passion for the Development of the Association, Corporate Governance and Advocacy. These qualities and achievements have made DASAN to be the most sort after personality in the build-up to the 2020 NBA Elections.
It is hereby on record that I endorse Mr. Dele Adesina SAN and I humbly urge our distinguished friends and Colleagues of the Legal Profession to support Mr. Dele Adesina SAN to lead the Nigerian Bar Association and secure its future.
Tola Akinduro, Esq.
