Major stakeholders, elders, leaders and statutory delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ogun State, South West Nigeria, have endorsed the Presidential aspiration of former Anambra State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi. The endorsement came during Mr. Peter Obi’s consultation visit to the Ogun State Chapter of the PDP on Monday, 11th April, 2022.
The PDP stakeholders were led by Ogun State PDP Chairman Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele and frontline Ogun State PDP Governorship aspirant, Chief Ladipupo Adebutu. While speaking on behalf of the Ogun State PDP stakeholders, Chief Adebutu extolled the sterling qualities and performance of Peter Obi, while serving as Governor of Anambra State, and acknowledged that Mr. Peter Obi’s understanding of the socio-economic and governance challenges of Nigeria, makes him the best candidate from the entire Southern Nigeria to clinch the PDP Presidential ticket for the 2023 Presidential Elections.
Peter Obi, while addressing the delegates had narrated how he collaborated with previous Ogun State governments to support investors to establish factories in Ogun State, noting that building a better Nigeria irrespective of ethnic differences is something dear to him. Mr. Peter Obi noted that Nigerians have tasted the PDP and APC and have realized that the suffering of Nigerians during APC’s eight years is unprecedented.
